Understand Live hosting bundles, limits, and cancellation
See how attendee-hours, session limits, and room size work, how a Live hosting bundle is billed, and what happens when you change or cancel it.
The short version
- Live hosting is a monthly add-on to Pro, sold as Live, Live Plus, or Live Max.
- Attendance beyond the allowance costs $0.60 per attendee-hour at the end of the period and never ends a session.
- Cancelling keeps Live on through the current period. Replays people already bought stay available, and Pro is not affected.
Availability
How attendee-hours work
One attendee-hour is one person connected to a live session for one hour. Twenty people in a 90-minute session use 30 attendee-hours. Attendance is pooled across every session in the billing period and metered from actual connected time, so registrations and scheduled lengths are only estimates.
Designated session hosts are not counted. Replays are not counted either, and they use your existing video storage instead.
Bundles
Every bundle is billed in addition to Pro. Usage over the allowance costs $0.60 per attendee-hour, rounded up to the next minute and billed once at the end of the period. Going over never ends a session.
- Live: $49 a month, 100 attendee-hours, sessions up to 2 hours.
- Live Plus: $109 a month, 250 attendee-hours, sessions up to 3 hours.
- Live Max: $399 a month, 1,000 attendee-hours, sessions up to 6 hours.
Limits that stay the same on every bundle
- Room size: up to 100 people in one room at the same time. A larger allowance does not raise this.
- Empty rooms: a session with nobody attending for 20 minutes ends unless a host keeps it open.
- Session length: set by the bundle. An upgrade raises the limit for a session already running, counted from when it went live. A downgrade never shortens a running session.
View usage or change your bundle
Only the owner can buy, change, or cancel Live hosting. Admins can view the page and see Only the owner can change this.

Open Live hosting
Select Admin, then Settings, then Live hosting.

Read the card
The Live hosting card shows the current bundle, the period, attendee-hours used of the allowance, any additional usage so far, and the renewal date. A Provisional badge means some attendance is still being confirmed, and you are billed only for confirmed attendance.

Estimate
Under Estimate your usage, enter Attendees per session, Session length, and Sessions this month. Lockers recommends the lowest-cost bundle that allows your longest session.

Change the bundle
Select Change bundle, pick a bundle, and choose how long it lasts. An upgrade charges the difference for the current period and applies the larger allowance to the whole period. Schedule downgrade takes effect at renewal, and nothing is refunded for the current period.
Cancel or resume Live hosting
Replays people already bought stay available after Live ends, and Pro is not affected. If Pro ends, Live renewals stop with it, because Live needs Pro.

Cancel
On the Live hosting card, select Cancel Live and confirm in Cancel Live hosting? Live stays on through the end of the current period. After that you cannot host live sessions in this Locker until you set it up again.

Resume
Before the period ends, select Resume Live to keep your bundle renewing.
If it does not work
- Live hosting is missing from Settings: your Locker is not on Pro, or live events are not turned on for it.
- A declined card leaves your bundle unchanged. Update the card or try another one.
- Live purchases are paused until the Pro payment clears. Settle the Pro payment first.
- Live hosting is included for this Locker. Hosting was granted at no charge, so there is nothing to buy or cancel.
- We cannot read Live billing right now. The card could not load its billing details, and nothing was changed. Try again in a moment.
