Terms of service
The terms for accounts, communities, subscriptions, and content on Lockers.
Your agreement with Lockers
LOCKERS LLC provides Lockers, a service for running and joining online communities. These terms and our Acceptable Use Policy apply to your use of Lockers. Our Privacy notice explains how information is handled. If you accept on behalf of an organization, you must have authority to bind it.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract to create an account. Use an accurate email address, keep your sign-in credentials private, and contact support if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not share or sell accounts.
Website measurement
Public pages on lockers.social, including sign-in and account creation, are measured with Google Analytics and, when it is configured, Meta Pixel. Those services record page visits, creator signup, Locker creation, browser information, and campaign or ad-click identifiers so Lockers can see which ads bring people to the site. This measurement does not run on private community pages or the operator console. The Privacy notice and the Cookie notice describe what is sent and what is kept out.
Communities and content
Community owners decide what to publish, which members and staff can participate, and which additional community rules apply. An owner's rules do not replace these terms. Lockers does not endorse member content or guarantee the quality, accuracy, or availability of a community, course, event, or external service.
You keep the rights you hold in your content. You give Lockers permission to host, copy, display, transmit, and process it to operate the service, provide support, and address safety or legal issues. This permission extends to service providers working for us and lasts while needed for those purposes. Only upload content you have permission to share with the people who can access it.
Community owners must give members appropriate information about their own use of member data and obtain any permissions their activities require. Do not upload payment-card details, passwords, government identity documents, or sensitive records that Lockers is not designed to hold. Keep an independent copy of content you need to retain.
Locker plans, trials, and recurring charges
Each Locker has its own Free or Pro plan. Free includes unlimited active members, unlimited courses, 1 GB of files, and 120 minutes of stored video. Pro is US $49 per month or US $470 per year for the Locker identified at checkout. Pro includes unlimited members, unlimited courses, 25 GB of files, and 1,200 minutes of stored video. File storage and stored video are separate allowances. A file does not spend video minutes, and stored video does not spend the file allowance. A session replay that is stored counts toward that Locker's video minutes.
Pro does not cover every Locker owned by an account. It does not buy admission to another owner's community, and it does not purchase that owner's courses or events. The price, currency, billing interval, tax, and any trial are shown before purchase.
When you confirm a Pro subscription, you authorize recurring charges for that Locker until you cancel. An account can receive one 14-day Pro trial, on the first Locker, when that account has not used a trial before. The trial does not require a card. Creating another Locker does not start another trial. A trial without a payment method does not itself authorize a charge. If checkout includes a trial with a payment method, the first charge occurs at the end of the trial unless you cancel first.
The community owner can manage the subscription or cancel future renewal from Admin > Settings > Locker subscription. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period shown there. A community deletion request queues cancellation of its connected subscription. Leaving a community or stopping use does not cancel a subscription. Contact support if you cannot reach billing. Payment failures or expiration of a paid plan can restrict features and apply the free-plan limits.
Pro subscription refunds
Lockers Pro subscription payments are nonrefundable, except where applicable law requires a refund. We do not provide Pro refunds or credits for unused time, partial billing periods, or a change of mind. Cancel before the next renewal to avoid a further recurring charge. Nothing in these terms removes a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If you believe a charge is incorrect or that you have a legal right to a refund, contact support with the community name and receipt reference. Do not send a full card number.
Course, membership, and event payments
Selling is available after the Locker owner connects a Stripe account and completes payment setup.
For course, membership, and event sales, the community owner is the seller and receives payments through its connected Stripe account. The owner manages its offer, purchase support, and refund requests. These payments are separate from the owner's Lockers Pro subscription and from any Live hosting charge.
A Free or Pro Locker with free admission may sell individual courses and individual events. Paid admission requires Pro and includes every course. Individual courses cannot be sold separately in that Locker. Active members of a paid-admission Locker can attend its events as part of membership. When that event allows ticket holders, someone who is not a member can buy a pass for that event. Course and event purchases use fixed USD prices. Paid membership offers use monthly or annual USD subscriptions. The price, billing interval, and any applicable tax are shown before purchase.
By confirming a recurring membership purchase, you authorize its recurring charges until canceled. A course purchase and an event purchase are one-time charges. Access depends on confirmed payment and the purchased course, membership period, or event. A checkout return page alone does not grant access.
Event access
An event pass covers that one event: its sessions, its wall when the wall is on, and a replay when a replay has been stored. The pass does not include the community feed, courses, the member directory, or other events. In a paid-admission Locker, buying a pass does not create a community membership or use a member seat.
Membership is a separate result, and only some purchases create it. In an open, free-to-join Locker, confirming the purchase can also create a community membership for a buyer who is not already a member and does not already have a pending join request. Free and Pro do not cap the member count, so that new membership is not refused for a member count. In a free Locker that requires approval, the purchase still gives the event pass, and it does not approve membership or skip a pending join request.
Free guest registration is separate from a pass. It admits a signed-in person to one free event. It does not create a community membership, use a member seat, or charge a price. A members-only event page does not offer a new guest purchase or a new guest registration. Being able to see a page does not by itself admit someone.
A completed purchase or registration remains usable if the owner later turns off new sales or registration. A ban, removal, or closed account can still block entry.
Hosting a scheduled or live session that is not a break requires Live hosting on that Pro Locker. An event with no session in that state, including one that only has ended sessions, canceled sessions, breaks, or replays, can still be purchased or registered without current Live hosting. Recording is off unless it is turned on before the session starts. Breaks are not recorded, and that setting cannot be changed after the session starts. Turning recording on does not promise that a replay will be ready. People who can enter the event can watch a replay after it is stored.
Seller platform fees
The Lockers platform fee is 5% on individual course sales and event sales in a Free Locker. In a Pro Locker it is 1% on individual course sales with free admission, 1% on event sales, and 1% on each paid membership payment, including renewals. Payment processing fees are additional. The owner's Pro subscription remains a separate charge.
The platform fee is calculated on the payment amount after discounts and before tax. When a course, event, or membership payment is refunded, the Lockers platform fee is returned proportionally to the refunded amount. The payment provider's fees follow its own rules. Returning the platform fee does not promise that those fees are returned.
Membership cancellation and purchase refunds
Manage an existing paid membership through Membership and purchases in the relevant Locker. Ordinary cancellation stops future renewal and preserves access through the paid period shown there. Scheduling cancellation of the owner's Pro subscription does not itself stop member renewals while Pro remains active. Once the Locker's Pro entitlement expires, Lockers automatically schedules member subscriptions to stop renewing at the end of their current billing periods. Members keep access through the periods they have paid for. Cancellation does not itself refund a payment.
Contact the community owner about a course, event, or membership refund with the receipt reference and Locker address. Refund requests are subject to the purchase terms and applicable law. The Pro subscription no-refund rule and the Live hosting no-refund rule do not set a blanket no-refund policy for purchases from community owners, and these terms do not provide a general purchase refund guarantee.
A full course refund removes purchased course access. A partial course refund preserves it. A full event refund removes that purchase's event access. A partial event refund leaves the purchase paid, so the event access remains. A refund of an event purchase does not by itself remove a community membership that the purchase created. Membership refunds, nonpayment, and disputes can change access for the affected payment or period. Refunding a membership payment does not itself cancel future renewal.
Disabling new sales or changing a Locker's plan does not by itself revoke existing course purchases, event purchases, or paid-through membership access. Changes of admission model, ownership, or content availability can be blocked until existing purchases, subscriptions, and pending checkouts are resolved. Contact Lockers support for a platform error or an unresolved billing issue. Do not send a full card number.
Live hosting
Live hosting is a separate add-on for one Pro Locker. A Pro owner can buy Live hosting for that one Locker. A complimentary grant is not a customer charge and does not start a paid subscription. The monthly prices and allowances are Live at US $49 per month for 100 attendee-hours and sessions up to 2 hours, Live Plus at US $109 per month for 250 attendee-hours and sessions up to 3 hours, and Live Max at US $399 per month for 1,000 attendee-hours and sessions up to 6 hours.
An attendee-hour is confirmed time a participant is connected to a session. Overlapping connections for the same person in the same session count once. People designated as hosts for that session are excluded from billed attendance. A community admin, or someone hosting a different session, is not excluded unless that person is on this session's host list. RSVPs and estimates are not the billed amount. Time that is not yet confirmed is not charged. Additional confirmed usage above the included hours is 1 cent per minute, which is 60 cents per attendee-hour. A partial minute of additional usage rounds up to the next minute.
The attendee-hour allowance is a total of confirmed participant time. It is not the maximum length of one session, and it is not a promise of how many people can be in the room at once. Each bundle sets its own maximum session length. A Live room admits up to 100 participants at the same time. A session longer than the bundle maximum is not allowed.
When a paid Live subscription is active, keeping a bundle renews it monthly at that bundle's price. Moving to a higher bundle charges the difference between that bundle's price and the amount already paid for the current period. That difference is not a proration by time. Choosing the higher bundle for the current period only returns to the earlier bundle when the period ends. Moving to a lower bundle does not change the current period's price or allowance. The lower bundle starts at the next renewal. Canceling stops the next renewal and leaves the current period in place. Confirmed additional usage for a period can still be charged after cancellation. Live hosting requires Pro. If the Locker's Pro entitlement ends, a paid Live subscription is set to stop renewing at the end of its current period.
Live subscription payments, bundle upgrade charges, and attendee-usage charges are nonrefundable, except where applicable law requires a refund. We do not provide refunds or credits for unused attendee-hours, unused time, partial billing periods, or a change of mind. Cancel before the next renewal to avoid a further recurring Live charge. Nothing in these terms removes a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded. This rule covers charges paid to Lockers for Live hosting. It does not set the refund terms for a course, event, or membership bought from a community owner.
If you believe a Live charge is incorrect or that you have a legal right to a refund, contact support with the community name and receipt reference. Do not send a full card number.
Restrictions and ending access
We or community staff may remove content or restrict community access for violations, safety concerns, or unauthorized activity. Lockers may also suspend service for nonpayment, legal requirements, or abuse of the platform. Where practical and appropriate, we will explain the restriction. Reports and appeals can be sent to support.
Leaving a community ends your membership, but does not automatically erase contributions, messages received by others, or records needed to operate the service. Owners should export needed records before requesting community deletion. Deletion, retention, and requests concerning personal information are described in our Privacy notice.
Service limits and responsibility
Lockers is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service or warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. External links, embedded media, and optional AI output may be inaccurate or unavailable. Review AI output before relying on it; it is not professional advice.
To the extent permitted by law, Lockers is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability arising from the service is limited to the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid Lockers for the affected service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not exclude liability or rights that applicable law does not allow us to limit.
Changes and contact
We may update the service and these terms. We will identify policy versions and give notice of material changes by email or in the product where appropriate. Price changes will be disclosed before they apply to a renewal. If you do not accept a future change, stop using the affected service and cancel its renewal before the change takes effect.
