Course sales and paid memberships
Selling is available after the Locker owner connects a Stripe account and completes payment setup.
Each Locker has its own Free or Pro plan. A free-to-join Locker can sell individual courses: the Lockers platform fee is 5% on Free and 1% on Pro. Paid membership requires Pro, includes every course, and has a 1% platform fee on each membership payment. Courses cannot be sold separately in a paid-membership Locker.
Payment processing costs extra. We calculate the platform fee after discounts and before tax. When a payment is refunded, we return the proportional platform fee; payment-provider fees follow the provider’s rules.

Downgrading never deletes anything.
When Pro ends, your Locker uses the free-plan file and video allowances. Posts, courses, members and files stay where they are, and Pro tools stop accepting new work. Your custom domain keeps routing for 14 days, then your lockers.social address takes over. Member renewals keep running while your Pro is still active, and once Pro ends, each one is set to stop at the end of its current period. Members keep the courses they bought and the membership time they paid for. A paid-membership Locker needs Pro again to start new membership sales.
Your data
Every post, comment, course and file stays. Over-limit files stay downloadable; you just cannot add more.
Your domain
Routing stops after 14 days. The domain stays yours and reconnects the moment you upgrade again.
Your members
Nobody is removed, and new members can still join. File storage and stored video drop to the Free allowances, so a new upload can be refused when those are full.
Try Pro for 14 days on your first Locker.
Your first Locker starts with a 14-day Pro trial if you haven't used a trial before. No card is required. When the trial ends, that Locker moves to Free unless you subscribe to Pro. Creating another Locker does not start another trial.
What happens at a limit.
At 90% of your file storage allowance the owner gets a notice in Admin. At the file or stored-video allowance, the next upload is refused. Members and courses have no count cap on Free or Pro. Existing members, courses, and attached content stay. Remove content to free space, or upgrade for higher file and video allowances.

Do I need a card for the free plan?
No. You need an email address and a name for your community.
What counts toward storage?
Images and other uploaded files use your file storage: 1 GB on Free or 25 GB on Pro. Uploaded video has a separate allowance of 120 minutes on Free or 1,200 minutes on Pro, shared across course and community videos. These are stored minutes, not a monthly viewing allowance. YouTube embeds use neither allowance because the video stays on YouTube.
Can I switch from monthly to yearly?
Yes, in the billing portal. Stripe prorates the difference.
Do you charge per member?
The Locker plan has one price. It is not charged per member. Pro is billed separately for each Locker you upgrade. Platform fees on course sales or paid memberships are separate from that subscription.
Can a free Locker sell courses?
Yes, if the Locker is free to join and its owner has completed payment setup. The platform fee is 5% on Free or 1% on Pro, plus payment processing. A course purchase covers that course; other paid courses are separate purchases.
What does paid membership include?
Paid membership requires a Pro Locker and includes all its courses. The owner can offer monthly or annual membership in USD. Courses cannot carry a separate purchase price in that Locker. The platform fee is 1% on each membership payment, including renewals, plus payment processing.
How are platform fees and refunds calculated?
Payment processing costs extra. We calculate the platform fee after discounts and before tax. When a payment is refunded, we return the proportional platform fee; payment-provider fees follow the provider’s rules. Contact the community owner about a course or membership refund. Cancellation stops future membership renewals and ordinarily preserves access through the paid period; it does not itself refund a payment.
Start on Free and move to Pro when you want your own domain.
The upgrade button is in Admin and it takes about thirty seconds.
