Use more than one Locker

Your account belongs to you, not to any single community. Join a second Locker and it uses the account you already have. You sign in once per browser on lockers.social, with your password or with Google, and the communities you open after that recognize you without asking again.

Owners are in the same position. A Locker you run and a Locker you joined as a member sit in the same account and the same list.

That community opens on its own web address with you signed in, and no password prompt appears along the way.

Every Locker sits on its own web address: the hosted one that ends in lockers.social, or a custom domain if the owner has connected one on Pro. Switching means leaving one address and arriving at another, and the trip passes through lockers.social for a moment. That pause is your sign-in being carried to the new address rather than a second login, so there is nothing to type and nothing has gone wrong if you see the address bar change twice.

The switcher also offers Start a community, which takes you to lockers.social to set one up. Next to it is a link to all of your communities on lockers.social, which is where to look when you want the whole list in one view.

Confirm your identity on lockers.social before you enter a community and that confirmation comes with you into the communities you open next. Confirm on a community site instead and it covers that community only. The article Set up an authenticator and confirm your identity walks through setup.

Log out on a community site ends your session on that site. The other communities you have open stay signed in, and so does lockers.social.
