Sign out of Lockers
Sign out of one community, of everything, or of other devices, and know which is which.
The short version
- Log out on a community site ends your sign-in on that site only.
- Signing out of your Lockers account on lockers.social also signs you out of the communities you opened from that sign-in.
- Sign out other sessions clears other browsers and devices while the one you are using stays signed in.
Sign out of one community
Open the avatar menu in the corner of any community site and select Log out. That signs you out of that community site and leaves everything else alone. The other communities you belong to stay open, and your Lockers account stays signed in on that browser.
You notice the difference when you come back. Selecting Sign in on that same community sends you to lockers.social and returns you to the page, with no password to type, because your account is still signed in here. If you want the password prompt back, sign out of the account itself.
Sign out of your Lockers account
On lockers.social, open the account menu in the top bar and select Log out. The Sign out button on the Account security page does the same. Signing out of your account also ends the communities you entered from that sign-in, so those sites sign you out at the same time. The next time you open any of them, you sign in on lockers.social again with your password or with Google.
This is the one to use on a shared or borrowed computer. Logging out of the single community you were reading leaves your account signed in on that browser, and whoever sits down next can walk back into the rest of your communities without a password.
Sign out a browser or device you no longer have
Lost phones and old work laptops stay signed in until you say otherwise. You can clear them from wherever you are now.

Open Account security
Open the avatar menu on your community site and select Account security.

Go to lockers.social
Under Account changes on lockers.social, select Sign out other sessions.

Confirm your identity
Confirm your identity on lockers.social with your authenticator code, or select Use a recovery code.

Select Sign out other sessions.
Signing out clears your identity confirmation
When you confirm your identity with an authenticator, Lockers remembers that confirmation for up to 7 days in that signed-in browser. Signing out ends it early. After you sign back in, protected changes such as appearance or your custom domain ask you to confirm again before they save. Replacing your authenticator clears the confirmation the same way. Getting back in
Open the community's address and select Sign in. If your account is still signed in on that browser, you pass through lockers.social and come straight back, and the page shows Signing you in while it returns you. If you signed out of your account, you sign in on lockers.social first and land back on the page you started from. See Sign in to a community.
