Circle pricing explained
Every Circle plan includes unlimited members and courses, and the higher plans add more admins, spaces, and live hours, plus workflows and a lower transaction fee. On annual billing, Professional is $89 a month, Business is $199, and Scale is $419.
The four Circle plans
- Professional is $89 a month on annual billing, or $1,068 over twelve months at that rate. The transaction fee is 2%. Circle lists 3 admins, 10 moderators, 20 spaces, 200 GB of storage, and 10 live hours.
- Business is $199 a month on annual billing, or $2,388 over twelve months at that rate. The transaction fee is 1%. Circle lists 5 admins, 15 moderators, 30 spaces, 500 GB of storage, and 15 live hours.
- Scale is $419 a month on annual billing, or $5,028 over twelve months at that rate. The transaction fee is 1%. Circle lists 10 admins, 100 moderators, 100 spaces, 1 TB of storage, and 20 live hours.
- Circle Plus has custom pricing and a 0.5% transaction fee. It lists unlimited admins, moderators, and spaces, and custom branded mobile apps.
What every Circle plan lists
Circle's pricing page says every plan includes unlimited members, community, courses, live events, a website, a member directory, payments, a custom domain, and iOS, Android, and desktop apps. Every plan also includes group chat, direct messages, a weekly email digest, and gamification.
What the higher plans add
- Business adds workflows, the API, activity scores, branded email notifications, and removing Circle branding.
- Scale adds unlimited workflows, AI agents, webhooks, and custom single sign-on.
- Circle Plus adds custom branded mobile apps and lists Email Hub with 10,000 contacts included.
Add-ons that change the bill
- Extra admins are $10 a month each.
- Extra moderators are $20 a month per 10.
- Extra spaces are $20 a month per 10.
- Live attendees are $20 a month per 100 on Professional and Business. Scale and Circle Plus say to talk to sales.
- Live hours are $50 a month per 10 hours on Professional, Business, and Scale.
- Branded email notifications are $40 a month on Professional, and included from Business up.
- Custom profile fields are $49 a month on Professional, and included from Business up.
- Extra AI credits are $10 per 1,000.
- Email Hub is an add-on on the plans below Circle Plus. At 10,000 contacts it is $99 a month on top of the community plan, with the first 30 days free, and other contact counts have their own price.
Trial, refunds, and processing
Circle's pricing page does not list a free plan. It offers a 14-day free trial with no card, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Each Circle paywall payment is charged both Stripe's processing fee and Circle's transaction fee. Circle's fee article describes Stripe's card fee as typically starting at 2.9% plus $0.30, and its subscription example adds 0.7% for Stripe Billing. The Stripe rate varies by country and payment method.
What Lockers costs for a community and courses
Lockers Free includes unlimited members and unlimited courses, and it does not ask for a card. Pro is $49 a month or $470 a year per Locker. Your own domain, quizzes, certificates, and the API are on Pro.
Selling is available after the Locker owner connects a Stripe account and completes payment setup. On course sales, the platform fee is 5% on Free and 1% on Pro. Paid membership requires Pro, includes every course, and the platform fee is 1% on each payment. Payment processing costs extra. We calculate the platform fee after discounts and before tax. When a payment is refunded, we return the proportional platform fee; payment-provider fees follow the provider’s rules.
